KYU BELT TESTINGTuesday, July 12th, two Yoshukai students were put to the test. Emilie Lowe (2nd kyu) and Bob Gorman (4th kyu) were allowed to demonstrate what they have been taught; technical skills, endurance and spirit. They did basics, combinations and katas which they also had to bunkai. Add to that, sparring a couple of Black Belts and you have one hard physical and spiritual work out. In Yoshukai - testing it is not a "given right", but an earned "privileged", and we all know the ranks that we have achieved were definitely "earned". Thank you to Sensei Dugan and the Black Belts for teaching us and keeping us motivated for our next "earned privilege". Congratulations to Emilie (1st kyu) and Bob (3rd kyu) for an outstanding demonstration of the skills and spirit of Yoshukai Karate. |
