YOSHUKAI KARATE ALLIANCE

TRADITIONAL JAPANESE KARATE WAS BUILT UPON 3 TRIADS. THE FIRST TRIAD BEING THAT OF THE PHYSICAL, WHICH IS KIHON (BASICS), KUMTE (SPARRING), AND KATA (FORMS). THESE REQUIRE DEDICATED TRAINING AND CONSTANT PERFECTING OF TECHNIQUE

THE SECOND IS THE MORAL TRIAD, WHICH IS JUSTICE, MERCY AND COMPASSION. THE THIRD IS THE ETHICAL TRIAD, WHICH IS THAT OF DUTY, HONOR AND LOYALTY.

IF YOU PUT ALL 3 TRIAD PRINCIPLES TOGETHER (9 SYMBOLIZES PERFECTION), YOU ACHIEVE THE WHOLE, ROUNDED PERSON. THE PRACTICE AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF THESE 9 PRINCIPLES IN TRADITIONAL KARATE-DO, RESULTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HUMAN CHARACTER, DEVELOPMENT OF CHARACTER ULTIMATELY PRODUCES MEN AND WOMEN WHO BECOMES HONORABLE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
